Family and Personal

A graduate of Plano Senior High School, Andrea left Collin County to attend Texas A&M University, receiving a BS  degree, and went on to attend South Texas College of Law, receiving her law degree.  Since her return to Collin County, Andrea has been in private practice and has had the pleasure of actively serving on numerous local boards and organizations.

Andrea lives in Plano, Texas, with her husband Kent and their “rescued” pug, Guinness.  They love to travel, scuba dive, and snow ski and they attend Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas.

A lifelong Republican, Andrea was thrilled to attend both Presidential Inaugurations for George W. Bush, has been a Collin County delegate to several SD8 Senatorial Conventions and State Republican Conventions and has worked on countless local Republican campaigns.

Andrea had never considered leaving her successful law practice until she was approached by the District Judges with the unique opportunity to serve our county as District Clerk.  She was humbled and honored by the confidence the Judges of Collin County placed in her and worked hard to provide our county high-quality services in a fiscally responsible way saving over $3 million while in office.  After 4 years as District Clerk Andrea feels it is time to return to her roots in the law and continue to serve Collin County as the next Judge of the 416th District Court.
